Description
I trust that when the PLP wins this next general elections, the former way we do business must change.
We must make decisive decisions that will move this country forward. We must not consult, refer, consult, defer, consult before we decide to act.
Under the prior administration the PLP give the FNM the plan to execute many projects that were tabled, criticized an delayed (through opposition) by the FNM.
They (FNM) then executed the plans and initiatives just in time for election to appear that they (the FNM) did all the ground work. This must change.
We have to plan, discuss (in parliament) then act. Once we have the majority vote, execute.
Adopt the Singapore Model.
Bring on LNG for Freeport, relocate the harbor in Grand Bahama, introduce initiatives and concessions for the use of solar energy.
Build a cruise terminal in Cat Island, Andros and Inagua.
Grand Bahama Port Authority needs to be dealt with.
Agriculture needs to be expanded.
Health Care Tourism ought to be promoted.
Central Bank may want to lower prime rate. Banks need to work with customers. Predatory lending must be discouraged.
Criminals need to pay. "Injection" for persons tried and found guilty of murder (two trials maximum. See Bermuda for national regiment.
More CCTV in the inner city and touristic areas.
We also need to find a way to be able to purchase oil directly from Venezuela; the US is still doing it and it will drive down the cost of living.
We need to home grow the economy.
